Owning My Menopause Journey And Taking Back My Life

The Stevie Kidd Pathway has become The Pathway. Learn More

By Lesley Kidd

For over six years, I was on a journey to find balance and reconnect with myself. I tried various treatments, including HRT, and sought advice from countless sources. But it wasn’t until I embraced a different approach that everything changed.

I found yoga.

At first, it was simply a way to bring structure and clarity back into my life. But yoga became more than just a practice – it became a foundation for my mental, emotional, and physical well-being. It empowered me to recognise that I had control over my body, my emotions, and my mindset.

But yoga wasn’t just an escape – it became a way of life. I committed fully to the practice, pushing beyond my perceived limits and immersing myself in a five-week Sivananda Yoga Teacher Training Course in India. It was rigorous, challenging, and deeply transformative. When I was awarded the title “Yoga Siromani” (Jewel of Yoga), it was not just a certification – it was a testament to the power of resilience, dedication, and self-discipline.

Through that journey, I saw how seamlessly yoga and The Pathway methodology align. Both require commitment, self-leadership, and the courage to face what lies within. Both demand a willingness to look beyond the surface and truly own your journey.

Taking Control – The Hardest but Most Important Step

I committed to daily practices that strengthened my mind and body. I trained my brain the same way I trained my body. I started to see patterns, understand how neurology shapes emotions, and recognise that my thoughts weren’t facts – they were just old wiring.

I wasn’t broken. I simply needed to realign the way I thought.

Pushing My Limits – Proving to Myself That I Could

The turning point wasn’t in finding the perfect solution. It was in the moment I decided to take ownership of my own journey. I stopped relying on external solutions and embraced the power of my own actions and mindset.

But owning my journey wasn’t enough. I needed to challenge myself and test the strength I had been building.

I completed every Reach Your Peak Scotland event. Then, I climbed Kilimanjaro. Twice! Supporting other women through one of the most demanding endurance challenges imaginable.

But here’s the thing – it was never about the mountain.

It was about taking ownership.

It was about proving to myself that I was stronger than I ever believed. That my body was capable, my mind was powerful, and my limits were only illusions I had accepted for too long.

The Moment Everything Changed

It wasn’t the yoga. It wasn’t the mountain. It was the decision.

I had control over me.

The decision to stop waiting. To stop hoping. To realise that true growth begins when you decide to take ownership of your life.

That realisation changed everything.

From Journey to Mastery

Today, I wake up strong, focused, and truly alive. This is who I am now. But this isn’t just about me. It’s about every woman who feels disconnected from her own strength and potential.

If this is you, hear this:

  • You are not broken. You are not powerless. But you have to choose to take control… And that’s where The Pathway comes in.

The Pathway isn’t a quick fix. It’s a framework of personal growth, resilience, and transformation that aligns perfectly with the discipline and mindset of yoga. It’s about owning your journey and leading yourself first.

Stevie often says that I work tirelessly for the benefit of others – but I don’t see it that way. For me, it’s about sharing my knowledge and experiences to help other women find their way – to reclaim their power and live life on their own terms.

Now I’m bringing that dedication and knowledge to The Pathway. For female leaders who are ready to make real changes, I will be offering my guidance and experience as part of their journey on The Pathway.

I want to help you discover your strength, unlock your potential, and find the clarity you deserve.

The Path Forward

I didn’t just find a way to manage my journey – I found a purpose within it. To serve, to guide, and to help other women rediscover their strength.

If you’re waiting for the right moment – this is it! Take one step. The rest will follow.

And one day, like me, you’ll look back and realise that moment was the beginning of everything.

Testimonials

I’ve worked with Stevie on a few occasions and yet every time I’m immensely surprised at the extent of his enthusiasm, positive thinking and lust for a full life. These are all the characteristics I thought I had in abundance and talk about regularly following my trauma and amputations but Stevie leaves me standing. 10 minutes in his company and you’ll be sitting up straight contemplating what you could be and how far you could go.
