There are moments in life that stop you in your tracks.
Moments where perspective shifts, priorities sharpen, and the noise falls away. When someone close to you is facing something as serious as cancer, everything else becomes secondary. Plans, pressures, ambitions – they all pale in comparison to the reality of what truly matters.
One of Stevie’s clients is currently facing that reality.
This is not a story about achievement. It is not about endurance for the sake of endurance. It is about how we respond when life asks more of us than we ever expected to give.
Sometimes, when those around us are navigating extreme hardship – whether physical, emotional, or financial – the question is not what we say, but how we show up. It is in these moments that real character is revealed. Not through words, but through action.
In recognition of an incredibly difficult journey, Stevie Kidd, Doug White, Warren Hawke and Lesley Kidd will undertake a back-to-back endurance challenge. They will Trek to Everest Base Camp then straight to Tanzania to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. Not for recognition, but to reflect – in some small way – the relentless nature of the battle Ross is facing every single day. Two of the world’s most demanding environments. One continuous effort. No pause. No reset.

This challenge is not undertaken lightly. It is deliberately hard, because the situation it represents is harder.
Cancer does not give people a choice. It does not respect timing, readiness, or comfort. And while no physical challenge can compare to that reality, this undertaking is about standing alongside those who are fighting – and doing something meaningful with the privilege of strength, health, and capability.
Meet Ross Andrew
Ross is Commercial Director at ATS. He is a young, dynamic and highly capable individual who is committed to his family, dedicated in his work, and known by those around him as someone who shows up, takes responsibility, and gives his best. He is not defined by what he is currently facing, but by the strength of character, integrity, and determination he has shown throughout his life.
At Pathway Mastery, we often talk about pushing beyond perceived limits. Not to prove anything, but to serve something bigger than ourselves. There are times when staying comfortable is not an option. When the right response is to stand tall, dig deep, and move forward anyway.
This is one of those times.
The purpose of this challenge is to raise awareness and funds for cancer research. But beyond that, it is a reminder of what it means to be human. To respond with compassion. To turn empathy into action. To use hardship as a reason to unite, not retreat.
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is refuse to look away.
We will share more details in the coming weeks about how you can follow the journey and support the cause. For now, this is simply about acknowledging the strength it takes to face the hardest chapters of life – and the responsibility we all have to show up for one another when it matters most.
Because in the end, it is not comfort that defines us.
It is how we respond when comfort is no longer an option.
